Employment

Working life can be fun, fast and rewarding. Being part of a team means joining in and contributing to common goals. We have experience of regularly supporting employees and employers. We assist applicants at interview. We work with employers to ensure safe working practices, through induction, day to day working and team meetings as well as training, testing and corporate events.

We deliver this through working closely with all parties to establish skills needs and establishing trusted relationships. We work with a broad range of employers from social care, construction, NHS, IT, manufacturing, retail and finance to logistics and food production. There are very few working environments that we haven’t encountered.

We can assist with Access to Work applications and advise on how best to manage the available budget.

Access to Work (AtW)

Access to Work is government money that comes from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) via Jobcentre Plus.

The purpose of AtW is to provide grants for practical support in the workplace. We work directly with any employer to deliver Access to Work support. The employer becomes our client organisation and we bill you directly for the agreed support to your Deaf colleague. You can then reclaim directly from the DWP against the relevant Access to Work budget.

How do I apply for Access to Work?

We can support you with applying for and getting AtW funded provision. We can work with you to identify what you as an individual require to meet your disability and hearing needs in the workplace.

Get in touch with our friendly, approachable staff today to find out more about AtW, to discuss your needs, or to get started on your AtW application.
